Already Home is another chapter in Team Wonder's work on awe and connection in cities, gathering World Cup stories across the country to show how belonging and community create lasting change. Your story joins thousands of others — gathered, coded, and listened to closely — so that what feels personal becomes collective insight, shared back with cities and communities to shape the policies, programs, and spaces that bring us closer together.

Today, 225 World Cup stories are part of this collective network.

Every story is mapped through the same four points: Where? When? Who with? How did it feel? That is how personal memories become comparable, connected, and visible.

The position of the memory shows place and time.

Quadrant chart mapping experiences by familiarity and time. The vertical axis ranges from 'A place you know very well' to 'A place that is new to me', while the horizontal axis ranges from 'So long ago' to 'Quite recently'. Two highlighted memories appear as circular markers: one in a familiar place from long ago labeled 'When I was 7…', and another in a new place visited recently labeled 'My first time in London…'

The size shows who was there.

Illustration showing four concentric-style circles representing different social contexts by group size. From left to right: 'Myself (1 person)', 'Couple (2 people)', 'Small Group (3-10 people)', and 'Crowd (+10 people)'. Each category is depicted as a progressively larger circle with a small dot at its center, emphasizing the increasing scale of social interaction.

The color and lines
show emotion.

Colorful emotion map displaying different emotions as labeled circles of varying sizes. Emotions include Anticipation (pink), Sadness (light blue), Disgust (green), Joy (yellow), Surprise (purple), Trust (teal), Fear (dark blue), and Anger (red). Each emotion is represented by a colored circle with a central dot and label, suggesting the relative presence or intensity of emotional states within a visualization.

More memories lead to more connections. More connections lead to more community.

Grow the community—encourage the people in your life to share their stories.
